The edible oils market ruled firm on Wednesday on the back of weak domestic currency which makes imports costly. Imported palmolein and soyabean refined oil increased by ₹3 and ₹5 each for 10 kg. Sunflower oil ruled steady, while rapeseed oil declined by ₹12. Groundnut and cotton refined oil jumped by ₹10 and ₹1 for 10 kg each.Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹615, super palmolein ₹635 and soyabean refined oil ₹665. Ruchi quoted palmolein ₹612, soyabean refined oil ₹665 and sunflower refined oil ₹662. Allana was quoting palmolein at ₹612, soyabean refined oil ₹664 and sunflower refined oil ₹662. At Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin improved to ₹1,140 (₹1,130) and loose (10 kg) ₹725 (₹720). Bombay Commodity Exchange spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 770 (760), soya refined oil 665 (660), sunflower exp. ref. 600 (600), sunflower ref. 660 (660), rapeseed ref. oil 680 (692), rapeseed expeller ref. 650 (662) cottonseed ref. oil 659 (658) and palmolein 609 (606).
