The wholesale gur (Jaggery) ended on a steady note today in the national capital on Friday with prices after moving in a tight range on scattered support amidst negligible arrivals, closed around previous closing.
On the other hand, gur pedi surrendered Rs 50 per quintal in Muradnagar gur markets owing to sluggish demand.
Marketmen said slackened demand from stockists and retailers due to off-season amidst increased supplies mainly put weight on gur pedi prices in Muradnagar. In Muradnagar, gur pedi prices moved down by Rs 50 to finish at Rs 3,050-3,100 per quintal.
Following are today’s rates per quintal: Gur chakku 3,200-3,300, pedi 3,400-3,500, dhayya N.A. and shakkar 3,600-3,700.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,900-2,950 chakku 2,800-3,000, khurpa N.A. and Ladoo N.A. Muradnagar: Pedi 3,050-3,100 and dhayya N.A.
