Cotton prices remained unchanged as demand from mills was limited. With this, export buying was also weak. Kapas or raw cotton marginally declined on slow ginning activity. According to a trader, mills were buying based on their requirements as they have sufficient stock. Moreover, supply was also good to match the present demand. Gujarat Sankar-6 cotton stood at ₹30,500-31,000 per candy of 356 kg. About 45,000 bales (of 170 kg) arrived in Gujarat and 1.75 lakh bales arrived in India. Cottonseed went for ₹340-363 per 20 kg. Kapas was down ₹5 to ₹770-800 and gin delivery kapas at ₹800-815.
