Pepper markets on Wednesday stayed firmer on tight supplies and on reports that Vietnam has stopped selling. On the terminal market, 3 tonnes were traded at ₹690 a kg. Spot prices moved up by ₹100 a quintal to ₹67,600 (ungarbled) and ₹70,600 (garbled). December contract stayed unchanged on the IPSTA at ₹72,000 a quintal while January, February and March moved up by ₹1,000 each to ₹65,000, 60,000 and ₹59,000 respectively. Export prices were at $10,975 a tonne c&f for Europe and $11,225 for the US.
