Pulses and pulse seeds ruled flat on subdued demand in Indore mandis on Wednesday. With steady rise in arrival of new crop, tur (Maharashtra) ruled steady at ₹4,450-4,500 , while tur (Madhya Pradesh) was quoted at ₹3,900-4,000 a quintal. Decline in spot tur has also dragged its dal in the past one week by ₹100 with tur dal (sawa no.) at ₹5,800-5,900, while tur marka ruled at ₹6,700-6,800 . Tur dal (full) ruled stable at ₹6,300-6,400.
Rise in arrival of new moong and slack demand in old moong dragged its prices in the past one week by ₹100 with moong (bold) being quoted at ₹7,200-7,300 , while moong (medium) ruled at ₹6,500-6,800 . According to traders, moong is expected to witness sluggish trend with rise in arrival of summer crop in the coming days. Improved demand lifted moong dal (bold) to ₹8,900-9,000 and moong mongar to ₹9,600-9,800. Moong dal (medium), however, ruled flat at ₹8,500-8,600.
Slack buying also dragged urad and its dal with urad (bold) being quoted at ₹4,800-4,900 (down ₹200), while urad (medium) ruled at ₹4,500. Weak buying also dragged its dal with urad dal (medium) at ₹5,300-5,600 , urad dal (bold) at ₹5,800-6,000, while urad mongar ruled at ₹6,200-6,600 a quintal.
