Spot turmeric prices at Erode markets edged up on quality arrivals. “Though there was no heavy upcountry demand, the traders are getting some limited orders from North India for the spice. Of the arrival of 3,000 bags, the traders purchased 2,000 bags,” said RKV Ravishankar, President, Erode Turmeric Merchants Association. At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association, the finger turmeric was sold at ₹7,529-9,749 and the root variety at ₹7,459-8,989. Of the 1,210 bags offered, 760 were traded.
