Jeera prices moved up on limited supply amid good export demand. Jeera futures too were up 2 per cent on strong spot demand. A trader said that export demand for the spice has gone up in past few days.

On the other hand, arrivals are declining as farmers retain their stocks expecting some more rise in prices. About 5,000-7,000 bags of jeera arrived at Unjha mandi of Gujarat and went for ₹1,900-2,150 per 20 kg. Around 750 bags arrived in Rajkot and prices gained ₹15 to ₹2,000-2,100.
