Pepper markets, both spot and futures, continued to witness sluggishness in the absence of buying support and limited activities. In the domestic market supply of indigenous pepper remained very thin, market sources told Business Line . Karnataka was reportedly offering pepper at ₹700 a kg delivered anywhere in India. On the spot, six tonnes of pepper arrived and they were all traded at ₹705 a kg for High range material and ₹695 for that from the plains. Export prices declined to $12,300 a tonne (c&f) for Europe and $12,550 for the US.
