Castor seed futures increased on speculative buying followed by strong demand in spot. Export buying was good in spot and arrival of commodity declined marginally. Traders said that demand for castor oil has increased since the past few days coupled with decline in arrivals pushed up castor price on Wednesday. On Rajkot Commodity Exchange , castor June futures was up ₹17 to ₹3,923 a quintal. RCX spot castor moved up ₹37.50 to ₹3,800. About 90,000-92,000 bags arrived in Gujarat and went for ₹750-760 per 20 kg. Around 3,000-3,100 bags arrived in Saurashtra and traded at ₹740-750. Castor oil traded up by ₹5 to ₹765/10 kg .
