The arrival and sales of turmeric increased on Friday, but its prices decreased in all the markets. The finger variety fell by ₹100 a quintal in the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association salesyard, and the root variety fell by ₹250 a quintal in the Regulated Marketing Committee. At the Erode market, finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,546-7,601 a quintal, the root variety at ₹5,289-6,799. Of 3,616 bags that arrived, 1,406 were sold. Our Correspondent
