Amid a weak global trend, silver prices fell Rs 76 to Rs 36,772 per kg at the futures market today as participants trimmed positions.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July shed Rs 76 or 0.21 per cent to touch Rs 36,772 per kg in a business turnover of 185 lots.
Also, the white metal for delivery in September lost Rs 62 or 0.17 per cent to Rs 37,309 per kg in five lots.
Analysts said reducing of positions by speculators tracking a weak trend in global markets mainly put pressure on silver prices at the futures trade here.
Silver prices slipped as investors await the outcome of a Federal Reserve meeting later in the day and a gathering of European finance ministers set to discuss the debt crisis in Greece.
Globally, silver fell 0.4 per cent to $15.98 an ounce in Singapore.
