Silver prices were down by Rs 211 to Rs 36,732 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced exposure, taking weak cues from global markets.
In futures trading, silver for delivery in far-month December was trading Rs 211, or 0.57 per cent, lower at Rs 36,732 per kg in a business turnover of 3 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.
On similar lines, the white metal for delivery in September fell Rs 201, or 0.56 per cent, to Rs 35,980 per kg in a business volume of 230 lots.
In the international market, silver traded 0.54 per cent lower at USD 15.66 an ounce in Singapore.
Market analysts said reports of a weak trend in the precious metals in overseas markets led to the fall in silver prices at futures trade here.
