Silver prices rose Rs 63 to Rs 38,788 per kg at the futures trade on speculative buying due to firm global prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month December was trading higher by Rs 63 or 0.16 per cent at Rs 38,788 per kg in a business turnover of 1 lot. Also, the white metal for delivery in September rose Rs 34 or 0.09 per cent to Rs 38,120 per kg in 270 lots.
In the international market, silver traded higher at $16.57 an ounce in Singapore.
Market analysts said a firm trend in precious metals in the global market mainly supported the upside in silver prices at the futures trade.
