Diamond Power Infrastructure on Thursday said its lenders have approved conversion of ₹855 crore of debt into equity at a conversion price of ₹41.28 a share under a comprehensive restructuring plan. The board will meet on Tuesday for allotment of shares to its various lenders in their agreed proportion. Shares of Diamond Power jumped 4.95 per cent at ₹37.10 on the NSE.
Uflex on Thursday launched a super barrier polyester film which can be used for packaging food materials sensitive to oxygen. Branded Flexpet F-PGB-12, the film complies with European Union regulations and food contact applications of the US Food and Drug Administration, it said. The film offers cost advantage over other similar products in the market and the company has received a number of enquires, JK Sharma, Assistant General Manager, Technical Services and Product Development, said in the release. The film will be manufactured at all its manufacturing units — in India, the United Arab Emirates, Poland, Egypt, Mexico, and the US, Chairman Ashok Chaturvedi, was quoted as saying in a release. Shares of Uflex were down 1.15 per cent at ₹276.05 on the NSE.
Zuari Global on Thursday said its subsidiary Indian Furniture Products and Poland-based Fabryki Meble FORTE SA have signed a joint venture agreement for the manufacture and distribution of furniture in India. Shares of Zuari Global surged 13.25 per cent at ₹126.95 on the NSE.
