IT stocks powered their way up on the bourses in late trading on Friday. At 3.40 pm Tech Mahindra was the top gainer on the NSE, quoting at ₹2,306.45. This represented a gain of 3.14 per cent on its previous close at ₹2,236.25.
Hindalco Industries extended its gains to 2.59 per cent at ₹182.50 as against ₹177.90 at close on Thursday.
HCL Technologies gained 2.52 per cent to quote at ₹1,594.75. The stock had ended Thursday’s session at ₹1,555.55.
State Bank of India trimmed some of its morning gains by the close. It was trading at ₹2,524.70. The stock had ended the overnight session at ₹2,467.55.
Bank of Baroda also shed some of its early gains to quote at ₹919.85. This was a gain of 2.05 per cent on its previous close at ₹901.40.
