Petitions of cellular operators challenging the call drop rules will come up for further hearing today. The operators want the court to scrap TRAI’s October 16 ruling that asked them to pay users ₹1 per call drop, subject to a cap of three a day. Earlier, TRAI told the Delhi High Court that no coercive steps would be taken against the telcos till the next hearing on January 6.
The Delhi High Court is to take up seven petitions on the odd-even traffic rule in the city. In fact, the court has sought an explanation from the Delhi government with respect to two petitions.
