The merger of commodity forward markets regulator Forward Markets Commission (FMC) with capital market regulator, the Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI), will be effective from today. This action has been taken in order to comply with the announcement made by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in his Budget Speech of fiscal 2015-16.
