Pune-based developer Clover Builders has announced the launch of Clover Renaissance, India’s largest retirement village, in Pune. It has tied up with Covai Property Centre, Coimbatore, a pioneer in senior care, to provide technical expertise for it.

The Rs 350-crore project, spread over 57 acres involves building, in phases, villas and 7-floor towers housing a total of 1000 residential units of 2, 2.5 and 3 bedrooms, hall and kitchen. The cost has been pegged at Rs 70-96 lakh, while the suites range from 640 sft-1,200 sft in size and come at a price tag upwards of Rs 33.27 lakh.

Colonel A Sridharan, MD, Covai Property, said, “This will be India's largest planned retirement community that will provide senior citizens a healthy and stress-free living space. It will enable them to enjoy a vibrant retirement lifestyle with the best of surroundings, services and amenities.”

Amongst the highlights will be an Assisted Care Centre facility, where special care will be provided for residents who are unable to perform day-to-day activities on their own, he said, adding that round the clock care will be given a tram of care-givers, nurses, while a doctor would make a daily visit for routine checkups. Residents will also be given a specially developed electronic locket which, if pressed in an emergency, will set off a hooter alerting the guard room, medical centre and ambulance service.

The other facilities the village will offer include concierge services, catering, banking, payment of bills, taxes and IT return filings.

Covai has built or helped establish similar projects across seven cities in India totalling 2,600 units, 600 of which are open, Sridharan said.

Pune based KJ Estates is marketing the Clover project.
