The 21-year-old communications conglomerate Laqshya Media Group has acquired Digitalabs, a prominent digital marketing agency, based in NOIDA.

This acquisition marks the acceleration of the Group’s ambition to make its mark in the digital marketing domain too.

The seven-year-old Digitalabs, co-founded by Rakesh Tulsiani and Agam Chaudhary, is based in NOIDA. Staffed by over 40 people, Digitalabs handles clients across multiple categories such as electronics, finance, travel, education, insurance and serves clients in overseas markets such as Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Singapore apart from India. Digitalabs is one of the few agencies which have a mobile-first approach.

Commenting on the acquisition, Alok Jalan, managing director of the Laqshya Media Group, said, ‘‘This is a natural corollary to our expansion into all communication platforms that help our clients engage with the millennials. Technology will be at the centre of all our offerings to our clients and Digitalabs’ first mandate is to look at convergence between OOH, Experiential and Digital.”

With offices in 25 cities and over 300 employees, the Laqshya Group works with over 200 blue-chip corporates across all its divisions.
