Ashok Leyland has announced that it has received an order from VRL Logistics for the supply of 262 vehicles, worth Rs 47 crore. The order is significant as it is for the newly-launched U-Truck range of vehicles. Only last month Ashok Leyland had received a Rs 125-crore order from VRL Logistics for the supply of 600 vehicles. The order announced today is for 200 units of car carriers (the U-3518), 12 units of U-4923 and 50 units of Ashok Leyland's 12-metre buses.
