Dhathri Ayurveda Kendra, the speciality Ayurveda hospital in Ernakulam, started by the Dhathri Group, was inaugurated by the State Health Minister, Ms P.K. Sreemathi Teacher.
Sports medicine
“Ayurveda should explore the tremendous possibilities in the field of sports medicine and sports-related injuries”, she said after inaugurating the hospital premises.
The 60-bed hospital has a wide range of treatments for arthritis, psoriasis, joint disorders, neck and spine problems, rheumatic (Marma), hair and skin treatments.
It has also started treatments for sports-related injuries and eye-related ailments, which would be carried out under the supervision of specialised doctors.
“We have a team of specialised doctors and well-trained therapists who are equipped to provide the quality treatment. The aim is to develop the hospital into a world-class centre of excellence in treatment and that is why we have appointed doctors to specifically cater to specialised areas of treatment”, Dr S. Sajikumar, Chief Physician and Managing Director, Dhathri Ayurveda Kendra, said.
Dieticians
“Apart from the team of doctors and therapists, we also have appointed a dietician and physiologist to daily monitor the diet and physical needs of the patient.”
The scope of ayurvedic treatment is on the rise and there is a sudden spurt in this sector.
Therefore, it is for the ayurvedic society to ensure the authenticity and availability of herbs and related raw materials in providing quality treatment and medicine, Mr K. Babu, MLA, said while presiding over the function.
