Elecon Engineering Company Ltd, manufacturer of bulk material handling equipment (MHE), industrial gears and transmission products, has said its MHE division has procured a Rs 45.05-crore order from Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL).
The order is for design, engineering, manufacturing, supply and erection, and commissioning of CHP machine package for Bellary TPS, Unit -3 of 700 MW, Mr Prayasvin Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of the Vallabh Vidyanagar-based company, said in a statement here.
Established in 1951, Elecon pioneered the manufacture of MHEs and has designed and implemented projects in India and abroad. It has so far supplied its equipment to such core sectors as fertiliser, cement, coal/power generation, chemical, steel plant and port mechanisation, across the country.
