Pune-based auto maker Force Motors Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 13.57 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal, a rise of 91.6 per cent year-on-year. Operating income rose 65 per cent was at Rs 362 crore (Rs 232 crore). The Managing Director, Mr Prasan Firodia, said, “Sales of all vehicle categories such as small commercial vehicles, utility vehicles and light commercial vehicles continue to show healthy growth.

The sales of Traveller and the new SCV - Trump 40 - have been especially strong.” He added that preparations for the launch of the new SUV aimed at the mid premium segment were in full swing and the vehicle would be introduced in the first quarter of the next fiscal. Man Force Trucks Pvt Ltd, its 50:50 joint venture with MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG Germany, has posted a revenue growth of over 150 per cent in the two quarters under review.
