Leading EPC player in power transmission and distribution, Kalpataru Power Transmission, (KPTL) on Saturday reported a 15.22 per cent increase in its net profit for the third quarter (Q3) of FY 11 at Rs 50.78 crore against Rs 44.07 crore in the year-ago period.

The company’s revenue grew by 10.26 per cent to Rs 793.04 crore as compared to Rs 719.23 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, a press release issued here stated.

“We have been concentrating on our core verticals and our continuous focus on expanding in new geographies manifested in our results. Our performance has continued to improve on a sequential basis, in line with the pick up in demand in the domestic as well as overseas market. We continue to maintain a positive business outlook in future,” the company’s Managing Director, Mr Pankaj Sachdeva, said. The present order book of Kalpataru is worth over Rs 5,000 crore, the release said.

KPTL’s subsidiary, JMC Project (India), posted a net profit of Rs 10 crore, up by 21 per cent over the corresponding quarter last year.

The subsidiary reported a total income of Rs 364 crore for Q3 as against Rs 339 crore in the year-ago period. JMC has an order book of over Rs 4,300 crore, it said.
