Opto Circuits (India) today said it has bagged a contract to deploy 650 automated external defibrillators (AEDs), used in treating cardiac diseases, in the Spanish city of Girona.
The company’s subsidiary, Cardiac Science Corporation, has received the contract to deploy 650 Powerheart AEDs in Girona, Spain, Opto Circuits (India) said in a statement.
The company’s AEDs will be deployed in streets or public squares. They will also be used to at high—risk facilities such as sports centres, train stations, airports and bus stations, the company said.
The company however did not disclose the financial details of the contract.
Shares of Opto Circuits were being quoted at Rs 298.25 apiece on the BSE in late afternoon trade today, up 2.09 per cent from their previous close.
