Mr. Pawan K Ruia, promoter of Ruia Group, decided to resign from the directorship of group controlled 2/3 wheeler tyre manufacturer, Falcon Tyres Ltd. Mr. Ruia ceased to be a director of group outfits Dunlop India and Jessop & Co from Thursday.
A press release issued by the group, said: “to augment his energies in further growth of the Ruia Group, Mr Pawan K Ruia, Chairman of the Group, has decided to resign from the directorship of all the operating companies.”
A company spokesperson later added that in pursuance with the decision, Mr. Ruia had resigned from the Board of Directors of tyre maker Dunlop and engineering outfit Jessop with effect from 10 August 2011. He would also resign from the board of Falcon shortly.
