From September 2011 through August 2012, Mr Piyush Pandey, Executive Chairman and Creative Director, Ogilvy South Asia, will attend select programme modules and serve as an honorary industry mentor to senior creative executives as they complete the Berlin School's five-module global Executive MBA in a creative leadership programme.

Mr Pandey joins previous ‘Godfathers’ at the Berlin School in the past, such as Berlin School President Michael Conrad (Leo Burnett Worldwide), John Gough (Distraction Formats), Keith Reinhard (DDB Worldwide), Seymour Stein (Sire Records) and most recently Sir John Hegarty (BBH).

“Having been involved with the Berlin School in various capacities over the years, but never as mentor, it is an honor for me to be able to work more closely with the students in this special capacity," said Mr Pandey.

His previous involvement at the Berlin School includes commencement speaker at the 2009 EMBA programme graduation ceremony and speaking at the closing of the inaugural Cannes Creative Leaders Programme in 2010.

Ambassador, D&AD White Pencil

Mr Pandey has also accepted an invitation to be the ambassador of the D&AD White Pencil. The biennial White Pencil award at the global D&AD awards will be given to an idea that raises awareness or changes behaviour around a pressing social, environmental or health issue, as defined by the White Pencil Brief. The D&AD White Pencil has been introduced to celebrate D&AD’s 50{+t}{+h} Anniversary in 2011.

The partner cause chosen by D&AD for the inaugural award is Peace One Day, the global charity working to establish Peace Day (September 21) in the calendar across the world.
