Four days after a series of Ford Figo advertisements caused international outrage, heads had rolled at its advertising agency, JWT India. Two months after the imbroglio in which Bobby Pawar, then Chief Creative Officer at JWT India, lost his job, Publicis Worldwide has hired Pawar in a top role.

Announcing a new leadership team for South Asia and India, Publicis Worldwide said Bobby Pawar would join as Director, Chief Creative Officer, South Asia.

Leading ad agency BBH India too announced a change in strategic leadership as Partha Sinha, one of the founding managing partners, leaves it to be the head of strategy in South Asia at Publicis Worldwide.

Sanjay Sharma, Senior Strategy Director, has been deputed to take on the role of head of planning at BBH India.

Ambika Srivastava too has joined as Director, Marketing and New Business India at Publicis.

All the three new appointees at Publicis are to join its management board and will report to Nakul Chopra, CEO, South Asia.

Pawar had been chief creative officer and managing partner at WPP-owned ad agency JWT in India.

Following the skirmish about the ad scandal in March, which drew international condemnation, Pawar had left the firm.
