Automotive wheel maker Steel Strips Wheels announced on Tuesday that it has won a new export order worth around Rs 190 crore from Renault, France. The Chandigarh-based company would supply around 20,000 wheels a month to one of Renault's European plant. The wheels are meant for a new vehicle the automaker plans to launch in Russia by this year-end.
“The total supplies in the next five years would be approximately 1.2 million wheels generating a foreign exchange of over €30 million equivalent to around Rs 190 crore,” the company said.
