Texmaco Rail and Engineering Ltd has reported a ₹3.33 crore net profit in the second (July-September) quarter of this fiscal after reporting a net loss ₹7.84 crore in absence of orders for wagons from the Railways. Post receipt of orders for 2,400 wagons from Indian Railways, the company gradually picked up production in the second quarter, Texmaco said. The company has also secured orders from the Ministry of Defence for 974 special type of wagons for ₹387 crore.
