Daikin Airconditioning is betting big on capacity expansion and enhancing the brand’s visibility. The company is gearing up to strengthen its dealer development base across the country. “There are over 3,000 dealers and 250 solution plazas across the country at present. We plan to add another 300 solution plazas during the current year,” said Deputy Managing Director Hitoshi Tanaka.
He opened Daikin’s second solution plaza — A.R.A.S Appliances Pvt Ltd – for the South zone at Coimbatore. On the sidelines of this launch he said the company would focus on the South, which presumably is “weak” for Daikin.
“Such solution plazas and sign boards will add visibility to the brand and we will focus on strengthening it. We intend to have a network of 75 to 80 solution plazas in the southern region,” he said.
