The $1.3-billion auto parts major JBM Group plans to invest ₹300 crore to expand and set up new plants in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
JBM Group’s Executive Director Nishanth Arya told BusinessLine that the expansion plan will involve setting up new manufacturing lines. The group has over 20,000 employees and 35 manufacturing plants across the country. It also has four engineering and design centres.
“Revenue share from the South has increased to 25 per cent from about 10 per cent three-four years ago,” Arya said. The group has alliances with more than 20 companies globally, including ArcelorMittal, Cornaglia, Dassault Systems, JFE Steel Corporation, Magnetto (CLN Group), Ogihara and Sumitomo.
