BHIVE Workspace, a co-working space in Bengaluru catering to over 150 ventures, has raised about ₹6.5 crore ($1 million) in funding led by Blume Ventures.
The company, which now operates from four locations covering 50,000 sq ft and has over 800 active members, will use the money to expand in Bengaluru.
It will also establish a presence in the top six cities in the country, attract top talent and build technology.
According to a press release from the company, BHIVE offers a range of facilities and services to corporates, small businesses and freelancers.
Varied facilities
Launched in November 2014, BHIVE Workspace provides a fully equipped workspace with facilities including wi-fi, UPS and generator back-up, an open office environment, events area, terrace garden, video conferencing, conference rooms and lounge.
Prior to this round of funding, BHIVE had attracted investments from Raghunandan G, founder, TaxiForSure; Rajesh Rai, venture capitalist and co-founder, Venturesity; Arihant Patni, Managing Director, Hive Technologies; Sanjay Mirchandani of the Mirchandani Group; and Arun Narayan, Director, UK India Business Council.
