Desun Hospital and Heart Institute plans to invest close to Rs 350 crore for expansion of network across the country.
According to Mr Tapas Mukherjee, Deputy Manager, Desun would invest about Rs 120 crore for the expansion of network in Kolkata, while another Rs 220 crore is earmarked for setting up hospitals in Siliguri and Bhubaneswar.
“We have a 300-beds facility in Kolkata at present; we want to add another 400 beds by 2012. The expansion will be on the 1.5 acre of land adjacent to the existing facility,” Mr Mukherjee said.
Desun will also set up another 300-bed hospital in Siliguri by 2012. “We have already acquired two acres of land for the hospital. It will entail an investment of Rs 100 crore. It should be operational by the end of 2012 or early 2013,” he said.
Plans were also afoot for setting up a hospital in Bhubaneswar. “The negotiations is almost complete, we have identified the land. It will also be a 300-beds hospital and should come up by the end of 2013,” he said.
