KPMG in India has named Sandeep Dhupia as the head of its forensic practice.
Prior to this appointment, Dhupia, who has been with KPMG in India since 1995, was a partner with transaction services practice, for which he was a founder-member.
KPMG’s forensic practice has a headcount of about 700.
Dhupia has come in the place of Dinesh Anand, who quit due to personal reasons.
To strengthen its forensic practice, KPMG has announced that senior partners — Ritesh Tiwari (from Australia) and Mohit Bahl (in India) will move to this practice.
Arjun Vaidyanathan (COO, Forensic Services) will work closely with Dhupia to strengthen and develop the forensic practice, a KPMG statement issued on Wednesday said.
KPMG has been a leader in forensics in India and continues to remain committed to the practice, said Richard Rekhy, CEO, KPMG in India.
In the next few months, more changes are contemplated in the leadership team as part of the strategic alignment of businesses, he added.
