Pharma major Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd has received approval for sale of generic cardiac drug Clopidogrel in China.
In a notification to BSE on Thursday, it said: “The company has received approval for product Clopidogrel in China. The company believes that the sales from this product will not be material in the current financial year.”
Clopidogrel is used to prevent heart attacks and strokes in persons with cardiovascular diseases.
Dr Reddy’s scrip gained 2.61 per cent on BSE on Thursday to end at ₹2,930 apiece.
