Sumant Sinha-promoted ReNew Power Ventures has announced the appointment of Ajay K Goel as President, Solar and Chief New Businesses.
Goel was earlier Chief Executive Officer at Tata Power Solar and has also worked with SunEdison, Brightsource Energy and McKinsey.
In his new role, Goel will be responsible for building new businesses on the distribution side of the solar sector and would focus on the commercial, industrial and residential segments.
“This will entail creating end-to-end innovative solutions around multiple products, technologies, and business models such as rooftop solar, energy efficiency, energy storage and others,” a statement from the company said.
“I am delighted that an industry veteran of the stature of Ajay joins us at this crucial juncture to drive some of the growth initiatives that will enable us to cement our position as the leading clean energy solutions provider in India,” said Sumant Sinha, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at ReNew Power.
