Software R&D services firm GlobalLogic today said Mr Shashank Samant will take over as the Chief Executive Officer, following the stepping down of its current chief, Mr Peter Harrison.

Mr Harrison is stepping down as CEO and the board of directors has named Mr Shashank Samant, previously GlobalLogic President, as the company’s new CEO, the company said in a statement.

Mr Harrison has been elected vice-chairman of the board, it added.

“Peter Harrison’s leadership helped build GlobalLogic over the past 10 years from just a handful of employees to the current 6,000-person strong global innovation engine,” GlobalLogic Chairman, Mr Mike Daniels, said.

In his new role as vice-chairman of the board, Mr Harrison will continue to serve GlobalLogic with his skills, insight and strategic vision, he added.
