Real estate platform, Housing.com has entered into a strategic alliance with Uber to provide homebuyers in India convenience for site visits.

Uber will be integrated into the Housing.com app, allowing consumers to directly book a ride after identifying a property of interest. This will save consumers the hassle of finding locations of different sites, the company said in statement.

“At Housing.com we are keenly focused on creating innovations that have a deep impact on the consumer and their buying journey. In this case, we have combined the existing resources of Uber and Housing to create something that provides our consumers with unparalleled convenience,” said Snehil Buxy, Chief Product Officer at Housing.com.

With a keen focus on serving consumers across the complete buying lifecycle, Housing.com formed the alliance as a way to further simplify the house-hunting process for consumers. Potential home buyers will enjoy all of the convenience of Uber including choice of Uber service, estimated fare and arrival time among others.

While the feature is currently available for new projects only, Uber will subsequently integrate with resale property listings on Housing.com’s app. The service will be available across all cities common to Housing.com and Uber’s services, it added.

“In most cities the process of hunting for a house is quite difficult and time consuming, through this partnership with Housing.com we’re happy to make that process easier by providing a ride within the Housing.com app, at the push of a button.” said Saad Ahmed, Business Development Lead, Uber India.

The feature is available on the Android and iOS versions of the Housing.com app.
