Jindal Stainless (Hisar) Ltd (JSHL) witnessed a rise in net profit by 73 per cent in the second quarter of this fiscal, at ₹92 crore over ₹53 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal year, on the back of reduction of costs and driving production efficienices.
Gross revenues was up 37 per cent to ₹2,348 crore from ₹1,708 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal. The company said with the government’s efforts to contain dumping of stainless steel, it has been focusing on expanding its customer base to include diverse users.
Gross revenue in the first six months of FY-18 stood at ₹4,736 crore, up 42 per cent over H1 FY-17.
