Automotive seat systems and components maker Johnson Controls has acquired full (100%) ownership of Tata Johnson Controls (TJC), a 50-50 joint venture with Tata Automotive Components (TACO) after completion of all formalities. The two companies have not disclosed the purchase price.
“India is an emerging market and part of Johnson Controls’ global strategy for sustainable growth,” Paul Chawla, President and CEO, Johnson Controls Automotive Experience India, said.
Eleven locations across India, including an engineering center in Pune, and approximately 2,100 employees are associated with this transaction. Johnson Controls has operated in India since 1995.
