L&T Construction , the construction arm of infrastructure and engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T), has bagged orders worth ₹2,525 crore, the company has informed the exchanges. Most of the orders came from the domestic market.
The orders totalling₹2,271 crore were secured in metallurgical sector, including an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract, for setting up a non-ferrous process plant and an order for manufacturing and supply of material handling equipment for multiple customers.
The smart world and communication business, another vertical of L&T Construction, won a domestic order from Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Ltd (ELCOT) for setting up a data centrr with upgradation of IT infrastructure.
L&T’s Power transmission and distribution business in collaboration with a consortium partners has bagged an order from Electricity Generation Authority of Thailand (EGAT) for supply and construction of a 500/230 kV gas insulated substation (GIS) and improvement works in two 230 kV GIS.
Last month, L&T Construction reported bagging orders worth ₹1,975 crore across various business segments with the largest orders coming from power transmission & distribution vertical that has won orders worth ₹1,331 crore both in domestic and international markets.
