Infrastructure company Lanco Infratech Ltd has announced the opening up of the Lanco Academy, its first leadership development institute for its employees.
This academy forms a part of the company’s initiative aimed at enhancing the employees’ managerial, leadership and business capability at the individual, team and organisational levels. It is aimed at delivering high performance through continuous learning.
The Union Power Minister, Mr Sushil Kumar Shinde, today inaugurated the Lanco Academy located at Gurgaon in the presence of Mr David Smith, Managing Director of Accenture, who was the guest of honour.
Mr L. Madhusudan Rao, Executive Chairman, Lanco Infratech, in a statement said: “Today, we are in a time of huge challenges and exciting opportunities. People are the key to growth in future. Building quality human capital is the essence. This is the very purpose of setting up Lanco Academy - Developing an internal leadership pipeline and nurturing a unified culture.”
The Lanco Academy is spread over 30,000 sq ft and equipped with modern infrastructure and technology that aid leadership development. It has six seminar halls and six breakaway rooms, designed to enhance the effectiveness of the learning process.
The library provides a comprehensive repository of reference books, technical and professional periodicals, both general and specific to functional areas, as well as several online journals and publications.
“The professional development of our employees is vital to us. We empower our people to stay ahead of competition by providing regular exposure to world class training programmes not only at Lanco Academy but also in some of the most reputed institutes,” he added.
