Muthoot Pappachan Group has announced the expansion of their Emergency Response Team (ERT) services, a first of its kind unique business model, through a new venture called ‘MPG Security Group Pvt. Ltd.’’
MPG Security Services, headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram, will provide specialised security services to its own group company branches and to those companies which require ‘Technologically Advanced’ security services through an ERT.
The project is guided by highly qualified professionals retired from the safety and security fields. ERT is a specialised team of three able bodied persons in uniform, equipped with non-lethal weapons, GPRS, wireless communicators and a fully equipped vehicle with alarm systems.
The company has already 77 ERT teams, each team with 3 well trained professionals who can handle any security related exigencies during 9:30 pm to 5:30 am. Each team on average handles a cluster of 30 to 35 branches within a radius of 20 km, in a response time less than 25 minutes.
Thomas John Muthoot, Chairman and Managing Director, said that it is a unique business model and we are the first in the country to implement it. Considering the potential of such a business model and emerging requirements of advanced safety and security services in the financial industry, the company believes that MPG Security Services will establish its name in the leash space. We plan to expand our operations to Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh by 2016.’
