Independent power producer Mytrah Energy Ltd has bagged a mandate to develop a 220MW wind power project from the Andhra Pradesh Government.
The wind project will be set up in Kurnool district and is expected to be commissioned in 18 months. The deal was signed at RE-Invest - India’s first renewable energy global investors meet in step with the Modi government’s Make in India initiative.
“The MoU with the Andhra Pradesh Government would contribute to the larger energy requirements of the State and the nation,” Ravi Kailas, Chairman and CEO, Mytrah Energy Ltd.
“At Mytrah we have successfully built an operating portfolio of 543MW across seven wind-rich States, in a span of four 4 years. We have set the platform for accelerated growth that will enable economic and social progress for all key constituents of the renewable energy eco-system and its beneficiaries”, he added.
“We have 300MW under construction and 3500MW of identified projects in the pipeline. Our strong partnerships with both domestic and international wind turbine manufacturers have enabled us to grow continually and generate significant value,” said Vikram Kailas, Managing Director, Mytrah Energy Ltd.
