NCC Limited (NCC) has posted a net profit of Rs 54.95 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2014 as against a profit of Rs 22.12 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year on a standalone basis, thereby registering a growth of 148 per cent in net profit.

The Hyderabad-based infrastructure company achieved a turnover of Rs 2,147.98 crore (including other income) for the second quarter as against Rs 2,284.43 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The company has reported earnings before interest, taxes and depreciation of Rs 184.42 crore for the second quarter as against Rs 181.47 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year.

During the first half, the company has reported a turnover of Rs 3,922.51 crore as against Rs 3,819.67 crore of corresponding six month period of the previous year. The net profit was up at Rs 96.16 crore for the six months as against Rs 19.09 crore in the corresponding period of previous year.

Consolidated results

On a consolidation basis, the company has reported a turnover of Rs 2,420.60 crore for the second quarter as against Rs 2,571.57 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The reported EBIDTA was Rs 275.10 crore and net profit was Rs 41.20 crore as against Rs 260.38 crore and net loss of Rs 3.16 crore respectively in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

During the first half ended September 30, 2015, the company has reported a turnover of Rs 4,467.35 crore for the six months of the current year as against Rs 4,400.11 crore in corresponding 6 months period of the previous year.

It registered EBIDTA of Rs 501.45 crore and net profit of Rs 43.78 crore for the half year ended September 30, 2015 as against Rs 459.84 crore and net loss of Rs 23.68 crore reported respectively in the corresponding 6 months period of the previous year.

In the current year, the company has so far secured orders aggregating Rs 2,293 crore up to September 2015 and the order book stood at Rs 17,487 crore as at the end of the quarter.

The company received further orders of Rs 2,058 crore in October 2015 taking the total order booking to Rs 4,351 crore in first 7 months period of the current fiscal. With this, the total order book stands at Rs 19,545 crore as at the end of October 2015, according to a statement from A Ranga Raju, Managing Director of NCC.
