NTPC Ltd has reported ₹ 2,426.02 crore net profit for the second quarter of financial year 2018-2019, down 0.5 per cent, against ₹ 2,438.60 crore reported in the same period last fiscal. The dip in profits was despite a rise in total income for the quarter under review. Total income in the second quarter of financial year 2018-2019 stood at ₹ 22,485.96 crore, up 12.65 per cent (₹ 19,960.35 crore).
