Lighthouse, a middle market private equity firm, has closed its third fund, Lighthouse India Fund-III Limited (Fund-III), raising $230 million (₹1,600 crore).
With this final closure of the third fund, the total assets under management of the private equity firm stood close to $0.5 billion.
Investors in Fund-III include global institutions such as the IFC, CDC Group, and DEG, as well as a number of large global endowments, pension funds and family offices.
Fund-III has already made investments in Tynor (orthotics brand), Aqualite (footwear maker), Duroflex(mattress brand) and Nykaa.com (online beauty retailer).
Fund-III will make investments of ₹50-300 crores in high growth opportunities.
Lighthouse's first fund saw capital raising of $100 million in 2009. The second fund was raised in 2015 at $135 million.
Lighthouse’s portfolio includes marquee consumer-centric brands such as Bikaji Foods, WOW! Momo, Kama Ayurveda, Cera Sanitaryware, FabIndia and V2 Retail.
