KNR Constructions Ltd has bagged a build, operate and transfer (BOT) mode tollway road project from the National Highway Authority of India in Kerala.
The Rs 682-crore road development project has a grant of Rs 264.60 crore during the concession period.
The order entails the four-laning of the Walayar-Vadakkancherry section in Kerala on National Highway 47 between 182 km to 240 km.
To be executed under the design, build, finance, operate and transfer mode, this project has been awarded to the company under the National Highway Development Programme–II. It has a concession period of 20 years including a construction phase of 910 days from the appointed date.
The Hyderabad-based infrastructure company will now have to incorporate a special purpose vehicle for execution of the project in line with the terms of the contract.
RADIAL ROADS
Earlier this week, the company through its joint venture company SLMI Infra Projects was awarded an order worth Rs 49.25-crore road development project by Hyderabad Growth Corridor Ltd. The order is for strengthening and widening of radial roads in and around Hyderabad city.
The radial road project is being executed with the loan assistance from the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
