Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has posted a consolidated net profit (after minority interest) of Rs 350.15 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010.
The company had a net profit of Rs 338.95 crore in the same period last fiscal, Sun Pharma said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Net sales stood at Rs 1,601.07 crore during the third quarter ended December 31, 2010, while the same was at Rs 1,020.86 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Sun Pharma said its financial results for the third quarter of this fiscal are not comparable with the same period last fiscal, as Israel’s Taro Pharmaceutical Industries became its subsidiary during the period.
The company shares ended the session today at Rs 440.60 on the BSE, down 1.86 per cent from its previous close.
